Colorado Springs authorities on Thursday identified the 32-year-old man on the city’s west side.
Darnell Dwayne Reedy’s death has been ruled a homicide by stab wound, according to police. Reedy died at a hospital after being found injured on the 3400 block of West Colorado Avenue, just east of Manitou Springs.
Chezarea Jones, 30, was arrested and booked into the El Paso County Jail on suspicion of second-degree murder in the case. Records show she is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
Colorado Springs police say Reedy’s death represents the 11th homicide in the city this year. Last year at this time, there were nine homicides in Colorado Springs.
