The University of Colorado spent $125,000 to host Vice President Joe Biden in April.

Biden visited the Boulder campus on April 8 as part of the Obama administration’s “It’s On Us” campaign to prevent sexual assault on college campuses.

According to campus spokesman Ryan Huff, the university used campus insurance rebate funds to pay for the visit. Huff said no taxpayer funds, tuition or student fees were used.

The campus spent $9,528.99 on parking and traffic, $57,617.64 on facility and event setup, $55,603.42 on safety and security, $2,292.28 on event planning, logistics and communication.
