Kelsie Winslow of Pierce will be coronated as at the National Western Stock Show in January after winning the title in competition during the .

Until then, Winslow is the lady-in-waiting to current Miss Rodeo Colorado, Madelaine Mills of Castle Rock. Mills will compete in the Nov. 30 to Dec. 6 at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. Winslow will compete in the national pageant in 2017.

To win Miss Rodeo Colorado, Winslow won awards for speech, appearance and personality, as well as being picked for the Congeniality Award by her fellow contestants.

Sierra Knodle of Evergreen was first runner-up and the winner of the Horsemanship Award. Sara Sage Coblentz of Gunnison was second runner-up. Nadia Postek of Denver won an award as most photogenic. Mary Oulliber of Sedalia won the Spirit Award, and Mandi Larson of Erie won an award for the best on the written test.

The pageant honored the Colorado Chevy Dealers for being a sponsor for 25 years; Roper Apparel for 15 years of sponsorship; and Erika Knutsen of 31 Bags, the Currier Inn and the Fairfield Inn for five years being sponsors for five years.

Barb Johnson of Greeley received the Bob Moore Volunteer Award and Beth Nemechek of Greeley was honored for 20 years of service on the .
