Denver comic Chuck Roy returns to the Oriental Theater with his latest show on July 23. Getting your player ready...
Itap more than a little redundant to call longtime Denver stand-up and firebrand “outspoken,” given both his profession and the fact he leans heavily on his politically-conservative-yet-gay persona for jokes. But there’s a good chance Roy’s latest show, “American Bear,” is his most strident yet. Itap an election year, after all. Roy will bring a lineup of ringers and headliners from Comedy Works (a club he performed at frequently before publicly splitting with them), including Steve “Mudflap” McGrew, Cory N Chad: The Smash Brothers and host Eugene Kenny at 8 p.m. on July 23 at the Oriental Theater, 4335 W. 44th Ave. Call 720-420-0030 or visit for tickets.
