A wildfire, caused by a lightning strike, burned slightly less than 30 acres Tuesday night on South Table Mountain near Golden.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday posted a Level 1 evacuation notice, which alerts residents to be prepared to evacuate at a moment’s notice.
The notice, for residents south of West 20th Avenue and north of Denver West Parkway, was later lifted, the sheriff’s office said.
West Metro Fire Rescue is battling the fire. There have been no reports of injuries or structures lost.
Fire officials said the fire is about 80 percent contained and crews will be on the scene overnight.
