? Hardly. LCD Soundsystem is back with a new album and tour, including a show in Colorado this fall.
The beloved dance rock band will play Broomfield’s FirstBank Center on Nov. 11. Tickets go on sale June 23 at 10 a.m. via axs.com. Ticket pricing information wasn’t available just yet, but we’ll give an update when it is.
“American Dream,” the band’s new album, is set for release on Sept. 1 via Columbia Records/DFA.
LCD Soundsystem previously played two dates at Red Rocks in August 2016. From of that show:
The beauty of LCD Soundsystem’s music — and why it’s so damn cathartic live — is that Murphy’s songs are emotional dirty bombs disguised as bangers. Just as Murphy packs his own diary-worthy apprehensions into the lyric book, seeing LCD live isn’t just about dancing yourself clean — it’s an en masse . Here (and few places else), 3 a.m. existential crises rub shoulders with four-on-the-floor rhythms. It maybe shouldn’t work, but Murphy of all people knows that the only thing that might feel as good as darkening the sandstone of Red Rocks with sweat is kvetching about life saddles us with.
