The body of a woman found inside an Aurora residence has prompted a police investigation.
About 1 p.m. Wednesday, officers responded to 1179 S. Waco St., Unit D, on a report of a deceased person, according to an Aurora Police Department news release.
When officers arrived, they found a deceased woman inside the unit, police said.
Homicide detectives were called to the scene and took over the investigation.
The name of the woman was not released pending positive identification by the Arapahoe County coroner’s office and notification of family.
