
Brazen car theft. Witnesses inside 303 Tattoo at 1774 W. 92nd Ave., Federal Heights saw a man break into the business owner’s car on July 1 and try to steal it. Another employee ran outside and tried to punch the window out, but the thief locked the door, reversed the car and tried to hit him. The employee got in another car and followed the suspect, but he eventually lost him.
Drunk in public. Residents in the 10400 block of Ogden Street, Northglenn, called police July 30 on a drunken man who was sitting on a bench yelling at passersbys. Police found him in the complex’s exercise room with vomit down his shirt. He was taken to detox.
Knocking with a hammer. After repeatedly asking his neighbors to turn down their music Aug. 2, a man who lives in the 9400 block of Longs Peak Drive, Commerce City went to their door and started banging on it with a hammer so that they could hear him. He was cited for damaged to property.
Bags from home. Security at the Safeway at 10300 N. Federal Blvd., Federal Heights, caught a woman hiding food and other merchandise inside a reusable shopping bag June 30 and then trying to leave the store without paying for it.
Unkempt property. A warrant was issued for a man who abandoned his home in the 9000 block of Royal Street, Federal Heights, allowing weeds and trash to accumulate all over the property. Officers called him June 28, but he refused to come back to the city and tend to the property.
Swerving with warrants. A patrolling Northglenn police officer pulled over a driver Aug. 2 who was swerving in the 11100 block of Huron Street. The suspect was wanted in Jefferson County, so he was arrested.
