Authorities in Adams County have identified the 60-year-old man in Federal Heights.

The county coroner’s office said on Thursday that Everett Hobbs died of a gunshot wound. His manner of death has been ruled a homicide.

Hobbs was found by Federal Heights police officers responding about 6 p.m. Sunday to reports of a disturbance, possibly involving a weapon, off north Federal Boulevard at 2608 W. 99th Place, police Chief Karl Wilmes said Sunday.

A woman at the scene was hysterical and could not be interviewed, according to investigators. No arrests in the case have been announced.

A police spokesman could not be immediately reached for comment Thursday.
