A southwest breeze and mostly clear skies promise mild temperatures for the Denver metro area through the middle of the week.

A wind shift in the afternoon and evening will bring stiffer breezes from the east at a steady 13 to 15 mph, with gusts of up to 23 mph, according to the NWS.
Thursday’s weather will be almost identical with a high around 81 degrees and a low Thursday night of around 50 degrees.
The high will drop about five degrees to 76 on Friday, forecasters predict.
There will be a possibility of rain and thunderstorms Friday night and through the weekend, the NWS expects.
There is a 20 percent chance of rain before midnight on Friday.
There is a decreasing chance for rain on Saturday and Sunday, when temperatures will rise to the upper 70s.
The metro area will cool down the first part of next week to around 74 degrees on Monday and 68 degrees on Tuesday.
