GREELEY — A police officer suspected of causing a fatal crash in what authorities say was a road rage incident in northern Colorado has pleaded not guilty to vehicular homicide.

Blair Jackson entered his plea Wednesday for the June 1 crash that killed 39-year-old Esteban Moreno Jr.

Investigators say the Ault officer, who was not on duty, crashed into Moreno’s pickup truck south of Greeley, causing it to roll. Moreno died at the scene.

Witness reported both drivers were tailgating each other and cutting each other off before the crash. According to court records, Jackson told authorities Moreno caused the wreck.

An attempt to find a phone number for Jackson was unsuccessful Wednesday night.
