One person died in a three-car crash on Monday night that Denver police said was a hit and run.
The crash happened on the southbound side of Colorado Boulevard at Interstate 70, said Raquel Lopez, a Denver police spokeswoman.
The crash involved three cars, one of which was driven by the suspect who later fled the scene, Lopez said. Police reported the crash at around 7:30 p.m. and declared the collision fatal about two hours later.

Police closed the road while they investigated the crash. They could not provide any description of the driver who fled the scene or provide any details about the victim.
