After three record high days of heat in the past week, the first few days of November will feel a lot more like autumn in the Denver metro area.

On Thursday, Friday and Monday, high temperatures at Denver International Airport were 82, 83 and 79 respectively. Those highs either broke or tied records. On Monday, the high temperature tied a record set in 1950.

Tuesday’s high will be about 66 degrees, or 13 degrees cooler than on Monday, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. But that is still 7 degrees higher than the average temperature for this time of year.

It will be mostly sunny and a bit breezy Tuesday with wind gusts up to 21 mph, according to NWS meteorologists. The low Tuesday night will be 38 degrees.

Then it gets even cooler on Wednesday, with a high of around 60 degrees.

Temperatures will rebound on Thursday to a high of around 69 degrees, according to the NWS in Boulder.

On Friday, the high is expected to be around 70. Temperatures will fade back into the 60s on the weekend, with a high of around 67 on Saturday and a high of 66 on Sunday, the NWS predicts.
