
No return policy. Dz Cabela’s,10670 Cabela Drive, Lone Tree, found a $211.78 gift card to the store for sale online for $190.60. Security video showed a man and women came in Oct. 25, picked out a backpack and gun case and, without paying, took them to customer service where they “returned” them for $211.78 in credit. Police expected to obtain a warrant for the man last week.
Second time’s the charm. Police responded to a call of a man and woman in a verbal argument at Brother’s Bar & Grill, 7407 Park Meadows Drive, Lone Tree, on Oct. 30. They found no evidence of a crime but returned later that night after the same man knocked a glass from a bartender’s hand. He was taken to detox because he refused to call for a ride home and was combative.
Menacing motorist. On Oct. 11, police received reports a man brandished a gun out of his car window while driving on Parker Road through Parker, but could not locate the suspect.
Firearm fire. A father and son living in the 6100 block of Crowfoot Valley Road, Douglas County, were shooting rifles at a wood pile Oct. 7 when a tracer round ricocheted into a patch of scrub oak and started a small fire 75 yards from their home. Fire crews doused it and police warned them to be more careful.
Unwelcome guest. The resident of a home in the 8300 block of North Silo Road, Douglas County, received a call Oct. 10 from a former employee he fired this summer. The employee said he wanted to talk and was outside the house. The resident told him to leave but the suspect would not until the resident dialed 911.
