Stinky situation. On Nov. 13, a man reported that his brother-in-law was angry when he broke into his room at his residence in the 200 block of Mesa Drive, Golden, and tried to shove dog feces into his mouth. Police went to the residence and found dog feces there, but the brother-in-law denied any wrongdoing. Police closed the case for lack of evidence.
Trump signs traded for Tsingtao. A resident of the 6000 block of Starlight Drive, Morrison, called the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office on Nov. 19 to request fingerprinting of two Tsingtao beer bottles found in her yard after two Donald Trump signs went missing. She suspected the two incidents were related. Deputies took fingerprints and DNA evidence from the bottles and submitted them to the lab.
Tornado on the tennis court. A maintenance manager of Hiwan Golf Club, 30671 Clubhouse Lane, Evergreen, reported suspected criminal mischief Nov. 15. He said he arrived at work that morning to find chairs and tables surrounding the club’s tennis courts in a haphazard pile and the tennis court surface damaged. He suspected youth vandals, but upon checking surveillance video, found the damage was caused by a “mini tornado” lifting and blowing the items across the court.Nailed it. A tree service worker cutting trees and branches for Xcel Energy on Nov. 14 in the 30000 block of Telluride Lane, Evergreen, reported an area resident allegedly placed nails under his truck’s tires. The worker said the resident approached him, upset about which trees were being cut down, then the worker saw the resident kneeling behind the truck where he found nails. The resident told police he did not drop the nails, but he was taking pictures of the truck.
