A fire in Bailey early Sunday gutted a home, but no residents were injured.
The Elk Creek Fire Department and the Platte Canyon Fire Protection District responded to the fire, which broke out at 572 Holmes Gulch Road at 5:30 a.m., according to a release.
“Fire crews reported the house was fully involved, and firefighters made an attack on the fire from the exterior,” the release said. “All of the residents of the home had evacuated safely, and there were no injuries.”
Firefighters and the residents have not accounted for all of the pets from this house.
The home is a total loss. Investigators continue to work to determine the cause.
