Welcome to your Friday Roundup, assembled by me, The New Guy. Because it’s my first time putting one of these together, I hope you’ll go easy on me (but definitely send me all your feedback, good or bad).
Actually, I’ve been looking forward to this for a long time. A loyal Roundup reader myself, I particularly love the Song of the Day. I patiently read the entire Roundup, saving the SotD for last — like the tip of a waffle cone, full of melty, vanilla goodness. And now I get to pick one myself!
By way of an indroduction, I design web pages, sub-sites like and and for The Post on weekdays, and spend the rest of my time photographing Colorado and writing about pre-digital cameras. My favorite Colorado beer is Red Rocket Ale from Bristol Brewing in the Springs, I don’t ski, and I make breakfast every morning in my great-grandmother’s cast-iron skillet.
Now that we’re better acquianted, it’s Roundup time!
The Big Stuff
Time to break out your
Today’s weather will start off unremarkable for December but the , bringing snow this evening and sub-zero overnight lows. You might even need a jacket, Coloradans. Or that hand-knit that’s probably waiting impotently under the tree (or equivalent).
Saturday fares no better, with a daytime high of 5 degrees on tap for the Metro area and an overnight low of 10 below zero queued up to hit early Sunday. If you’re heading into the mountains to slide down them on those slippery sticks and boards, expect to test your patience — the snow has already started falling up there.
Our shows things improving slightly toward the end of the weekend.

The Patriots coach excels at exploiting weaknesses and reacting to changing game conditions at a moment’s notice, . And Aqib Talib knows better than to let himself fall victim to the head games Belichick’s been playing this week, heaping praise on Talib and the Broncos’ secondary.
Preparation is going to be the most important factor for the Broncos’ defense this week — more than at any other point this season.
