Northglenn police shot and killed an attempted kidnapping suspect Saturday night after the suspect rammed an officer’s patrol car with a stolen vehicle, according to a press release.

Officers responded to a report of an attempted kidnapping on Carmela Lane around 6:30 p.m. They made contact with a suspect in the 10700 block of Pecos Street. According to the release, the suspect was in a stolen vehicle.

The suspect rammed the officer’s vehicle and the officer fired, hitting the suspect. The suspect was pronounced dead at Denver Health Medical Center.

The incident is being investigated by the 17th Judicial District multi‐agency critical incident investigation team, the release said.
