Federal, state and local authorities arrested an Englewood man and convicted bank robber who violated the conditions of his bail by leaving a halfway house, even as the FBI investigated him for other federal crimes.
Gary Mark Crider, 49, was arrested at a hotel on the 6000 block of West 103rd Avenue in Westminster on Friday.
U.S. marshals, the FBI, and the Colorado Department of Corrections all played a part in locating Crider at the hotel. Westminster SWAT forced entry into his room and arrested Crider without incident, according to a release.
“Mr. Crider committed numerous state and federal crimes, which triggered the convergence of state and federal resources to apprehend him,” Ken Deal, U.S. marshall for the state of Colorado said.
“At the end of the day, what matters most is that he is now behind bars, and our community is safer.”
Crider was booked into Jefferson County Jail on the parole violation and is expected to appear in court Monday in Jefferson County. Crider will face federal charges at a later date.
