Market was arrested in March. When he was taken into custody, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said he was known to make entry into homes through windows and doors wearing dark clothing and athletic shoes during hours of darkness. Investigators said Market would then confront his victims before fleeing on foot.
The sheriff’s office did not elaborate on the 1996 sexual assault.
Court records show Market was convicted by a jury of two child sex assault counts as well as a violent crime sentence enhancer.
