Colorado has one of the highest suicide rates in the nation.Re: “” Jan. 9 Andrew Romanoff guest column.
I greatly appreciated Andrew Romanoff’s call for a renewed focus on mental health care in The Post this week.
As one of the many Coloradans whose families have been devastated by the effects of mental illness, it’s an issue I know painfully well.
Although many of us (at times, myself included) take our own mental health for granted, it was a sobering reminder to hear that Colorado has one of the highest suicide rates in the country. As Mr. Romanoff said in his column, we can and must do more to ensure better mental health care for everyone in our state.
