Sandwich sent back. On Jan. 10, Lakewood police responded to an incident at Subway, 5066 S. Wadsworth Blvd., where an employee was threatening a customer. The customer told police that her sandwich was made incorrectly and asked the employee to remake it. The employee then threatened to fight the woman. When police arrived, the employee claimed she had PTSD. She was cited for disorderly conduct.
Customer “out of control.” A man was arrested Jan. 14 after causing a disturbance at The Cove sports bar, 10672 W. Alameda Ave., Lakewood. When police arrived, the suspect was subdued by four other customers outside. The man was shouting and had called a woman a derogatory name. He also said he would not be responsible “if someone died tonight.” The man was extremely intoxicated and taken to the hospital where he had to be sedated.
Door dinged. On Jan. 11, a man called police to report that a woman had damaged his car and refused to provide insurance information. Police responded to the 700 block of Kipling Street, Lakewood and contacted the woman who denied making contact with the man’s car door. The door had a dent. An employee at the apartment complex noted that the woman had recently come in and complained about a car parked in her space and that she wouldn’t be responsible if anything happened. After hearing this, the woman still could not provide insurance.
Tires slashed at IHOP. A man called Lakewood police Jan. 11 after he found his tires slashed when coming out of IHOP, 389 S. Wadsworth Blvd. The victim worked at the restaurant with his ex-girlfriend who had a new boyfriend. When seeing the tires were slashed, he called her and the boyfriend admitted to the vandalism.
