Evergreen takes down D’Evelyn in Jeffco League boys basketball slugfest

The Cougars pulled away in the second half for a big conference victory against the ranked Jaguars on Friday night

Evergreen downed Class 4A No. 3 D’Evelyn in boys basketball on Friday night, as the Cougars capitalized on a clutch second half in order to upset the Jaguars 57-46 in Jeffco League play.

The Cougars were led by seniors Michael Dillon (16 points), Reese Wilson (13 points) and Rhys Sayler (11 points), while the Jaguars were paced by 19 points from junior Charles Dinegar.

Evergreen is in action next on Jan. 30 at Green Mountain, while the Jaguars play at Wheat Ridge that same night.
