
Business robbed. A manager of the Jiffy Lube at 2411 W. Belleview Ave., Littleton, reported the auto service business was robbed overnight Jan. 3. There were no signs of forced entry and at least three of the shop’s service bay doors were unsecured when police arrived. The safe in the office had also been opened without force and $882 taken from within.
Man sees own window smashed. A resident of an apartment building in the 5300 block of South Elati Street, Littleton, heard a loud truck driving up and down his street late on Jan. 4. He looked out his window just in time to see a man get out of the truck and smash the rear window of his work van. The victim yelled and the suspect fled.
Diaper bag theft. A woman’s car window was shattered while she was visiting an office in the 7000 block of East Belleview Avenue, Greenwood Village, on Jan. 4. A leather diaper bag was stolen from within. Total loss for the bag: $100. Total vehicle damage: $350
Puffer recovered. A car left running in a parking lot in the 3000 block of West Prentice Avenue, Littleton, was stolen only to be recovered a short time later Jan. 5. The vehicle’s owner said when he saw his car was gone, he drove around in another vehicle to look for it and found it spun out in the snow not far from his apartment.Plate shuffle. A man living in the 7700 block of South Curtice Way, Littleton, noticed his rear license plate looked odd Jan. 2. He realized it did not match his front plate. Police ran the rear plate and found it had been stolen from a car in Westminster a few days earlier.
