Dozens of speakers are expected to testify at Boulder County commissioners’ Tuesday public hearing on the latest set of county staff recommendations for rules and conditions that the county may apply to any future applications it gets for oil and gas development in unincorporated parts of the county.

As of mid-afternoon Friday, nearly 40 people had already signed up in advance to speak at the hearing on the proposed provisions that would revise and update oil and gas development regulations the commissioners adopted in December 2012.

More signups are expected before the 2 p.m. startup of Tuesday’s hearing, and people who didn’t do so online can still show up and sign up to speak.
