Forecast: Expect lots of sunshine, wind and spring-like temperatures this week in the Denver metro

Breezes forecast not as dangerous as those that prompted red flag warnings last week about fire danger

Before the end of the week the high temperature will be pushing 80 degrees in the Denver metro area, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

On Monday, the high temperature is expected to be 60 degrees. It will be breezy with wind gusts of around 20 mph. The low Monday night is expected to be around 38 degrees.

The high will be climb to near 68 degrees on Tuesday.

On Wednesday and Thursday expect sunny skies with highs both days near 74 degrees.

It will be slightly cooler on Friday, with a high of around 69 degrees.

The weekend promises to be unseasonably warm with a high of 78 degrees on Saturday and 77 on Sunday.
