Re: March 31 news story.
Rep.Ken Buck of Colorado’s 4th Congressional District disclosed that he would have voted for the disastrous American Health Care Act had it come to that. As a resident of his district and therefore a constituent of Buck, I find his reasoning for voting for the act both disingenuous and cowardly. The reason given for his belated support of the bill was “it was important to give the president a victory coming out of the gates.” I found this statement beyond comprehension. Did he not reflect on the actap consequences had it passed? Twenty-four million Americans losing their health insurance, millions deprived of essential Medicaid benefits, and the loss of health care to countless women served by Planned Parenthood. Buck should be ashamed.
