Two men and a woman were arrested Monday night in Englewood as suspects in a home invasion and robbery of an elderly man’s home.

The incident happened just before 6 p.m. in the 4600 block of South Decatur Street at the Centennial Crossing Condominiums, according to police.

The resident was home alone when his front door was kicked in, police said. A trio entered, stealing food, credit cards and a cell phone before fleeing the home.

The resident was injured, but he declined medical attention, police said.

Police spotted three suspects nearby walking north on South Federal Boulevard and they were taken into custody. The two male suspects are ages 29 and 36; the female suspect is 51. Police said they were not immediately able to positively identify the suspects.

An investigation is ongoing.
