Wrong signals. A woman reported April 12 that a middle-aged white male driving an older model BMW followed her to her home in the 20000 block of Sanger Drive, Evergreen. The woman confronted the man and he admitted to following her, claiming that she signaled to him that she was interested in him. He also tried to reach out and grab her arm. The woman denied she sent him signals and told the man she was not interested.

Possibly bad cop. A resident of the area of Hurty Avenue and West Street, Conifer, was walking his dog when he signaled for a truck to stop and told the driver to slow down. The driver claimed he was a cop chasing a female who he suspected of selling cocaine. The man provided no identification and there was nothing about his dress or vehicle indicating law enforcement. The incident was filed as suspicious.

Territorial neighbor. On April 12, a man reported that he was arguing with his girlfriend over the phone so he pulled over and parked in the 5000 block of South Quail Court, Littleton, to avoid distracted driving. A man approached his vehicle and yelled at him about parking in front of his house. The driver exited his vehicle to explain why he was parked and the man punched him in the face several times before his father arrived and stopped him. The victim did not want to press charges for fear of retaliation, but requested extra patrol for the area.

License plate switcheroo. A deputy on patrol April 10 in the area of 3600 South Depew Street, Denver, was running license plates after a report of a stolen vehicle and found one vehicle with plates that had been reported stolen. The deputy contacted the vehicle owner, who was unaware his license plates had been switched out with stolen ones. The stolen plates were booked as evidence and the vehicle owner filed a report for his.

Windshields targeted. A resident of an undisclosed address near Morrison reported April 12 that the windshields of three vehicles parked in her home driveway were damaged with what she suspected was a BB gun. Each windshield had one BB-sized hole.
