This week’s springtime snow storm left the metro area with mostly clear skies and cooler temperatures.

Saturday’s high should near 59 degrees with a nighttime low of 39 degrees, National Weather Service meteorologist Lisa Kriederman said.

Sunday should be slightly warmer with highs in the low 60s and a nighttime low hanging near 42 degrees. There’s a chance for an afternoon shower or thunderstorm.

Snow and rain rose the Platte River but the water has not reached flooding stage and is unlikely to, Kriederman said. She discouraged people from being on the banks or in the river.
