No one injured, no suspects after gun was recovered from air duct

Shots fired at party. Officers responded to a house in the 2500 block of West Alamo Avenue, Littleton, after hearing at least 10 gunshots in the area July 16. More than 30 people were handcuffed and searched as they tried to leave the rented space, according to police reports. No one was injured, and no one claimed to see who fired the shots. A handgun with the serial number filed off was found in an air duct in the building. Two men seen driving away from the scene were stopped by officers nearby. They said they were inside the party when someone yelled, “Everybody out now,” according to police. They claimed they were beaten up as they tried to leave but did not see a gun. The shots were fired after they pulled away, they said. There are no suspects.

Lock it up. A man reported his bike was stolen from his apartment building in the 5500 block of South Hill Street, Littleton, July 19. He left the bike in the foyer around 7 a.m. By 4 p.m., it was gone, according to a police report. It was worth $950.

SUV in shambles. A woman living in the 800 block of West Crestline Avenue, Littleton, reported her SUV was damaged overnight July 24. The rear windshield was shattered and the bumper bent, according to police. It is unclear if it was a hit-and-run accident or vandalism.

Road hazard. A man was arrested July 18 after being involved in a traffic accident near the intersection of East County Line Road and South Broadway, Littleton. He was driving with a revoked license and had a warrant for failing to appear on traffic charges in Douglas County, police say.
