The U.S. Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights this week closed its years-long Title IX investigation of the University of Colorado’s handling of a 2013 sexual misconduct case with “no adverse findings” against the school, campus officials announced Tuesday.

“Over the past several years, OCR has opened hundreds of investigations against colleges across the United States, but has closed very few with no adverse findings,” the university wrote in an online post Tuesday.

The Education Department, which sent a letter alerting Chancellor Phil DiStefano about the decision earlier this week, made no findings against the university and did not require any policy or training changes.

The letter detailed “sweeping policy and program changes” that CU began implementing during the Title IX investigation.
