A body was found Wednesday partially submerged in water beneath a bridge near Fort Collins.

A landscape contractor spotted the body about 12:20 p.m. and called 911, according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

The body was found in a shallow section of canal near the intersection of South Timberline Road and East Lincoln Avenue. The victim, a man, was not identified.

“At this time, there is no reason to believe there is any danger to the public as a result of this incident,” the release said. There were no indications of foul play or a crime.

The sheriff’s office said the man “may have been a transient.” An investigation is ongoing.
