Re: “,” Oct. 4 sports story.
While the Rockies’ loss to the Arizona Diamondbacks was a huge disappointment, I wish to thank our team for their athleticism, professionalism and performance in the 2017 season. Most especially, thank you for a very memorable Father’s Day — our son’s gift was tickets to that game. We thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful Coors Field venue, the terrific weather, great concessions, and, of course, a fantastic game which the Rockies played in spades.
It was a wonderful way for our family to bond together, celebrating fatherhood, family and a rich American tradition — and we will have these memories forever. Free of world-weariness and politics, a welcome respite, a solidifying of family love, happiness in sharing an American treasure — baseball. We love you, Rockies — we’ll be there with you in 2018!
