Street Fraternity is a crucible for violent young men in rough neighborhoods such as this in Denver and Aurora. Their families fled some of the world’s worst conditions and made it to America as refugees. Of the 40-50 kids that attend Street Frat many hang out, box, lift, study and are making the grades and aspire to go on to college. Others face gang pressures and struggle to stay out of jail. Some live on streets.

The mission of Street Fraternity is to provide a place of brotherhood and personal growth for urban young men. Their goals are to help build brotherhood and leadership; to develop positive young men who understand how to balance aggression with respect, integrity and ethics, and help participants identify their opportunities, challenges and goals. Street Fraternity is located at 8720 East Colfax. Boys between the ages of 14-25 are allowed. Doors open around 4 and close at 9:00
