The warm start to the holiday season is expected to stick around for Black Friday.

Friday should be mostly sunny with a high around 67 degrees, National Weather Service meteorologist Jim Kalina said. Southwest winds are expected to blow from 8 to 13 mph with gusts of up to 20 mph. The wind is expected to pick up along the Foothills and west of Interstate 25.

Friday night should be mostly clear with a low around 35 degrees, he said. Saturday is expected to be slightly cooler with a high around 62 degrees. Temperatures should heat up Sunday and Monday to the low to mid-70s, Kalina said.

Tuesday is expected to cool down as a system moves through, bringing a chance of rain and snow showers in the morning. The high then is expected to be around 47 degrees. Wednesday and Thursday are expected to have highs ranging from 50 to 55 degrees.

Those looking to hit the mountain slopes should expect a possibility of up to 2 inches of snow Friday and winds around 20-30 mph with gusts around 45 mph, he said. There’s a slight chance of snow showers Monday night, growing to a 40 percent chance Tuesday.
