Skier Lindsey Vonn said in a recent interview with CNN, “I hope to represent the people of the United States, not the president.”Re: “,” Dec. 7 sports story.
Lindsey Vonn told all of America that she won’t be representing the president at the Winter Olympics. Someone needs to tell her that no Olympian ever has said that they are representing the president at the Olympics.
The vast majority of us watch sports to get away from life and its trials. Vonn doesn’t need to drag politics into our lives by telling us she won’t be representing the president at the Olympics. Just go there and make us proud to be Americans. That’s all we ask.
