A Fort Collins resident won $3 million from Colorado Lottery’s new “Bankroll Blast” scratch game Monday, the first day of the game’s release.

Lottery officials announced that the man, named only as Steven W., won the first of three instant top prizes in the $50 scratch game. There are still two chances left to win $3 million.

The man bought one ticket at Schrader’s Country Store on College Avenue in Fort Collins. It was the first one in the pack, lottery officials announced.

After taxes, the net prize is $2,130,000. The new millionaire plans to take early retirement from  his bottle manufacturing job and may take time off during the holidays.
