Over the course of two days, several cat breeds and household pets were judged and considered for top honors during the Econo Cat Club third annual Valentine Show at the Adams County Fairgrounds in Brighton.
Inside six presentation rings, 96 cats were judged according to breed standards related to body type, color, coat condition, eye shape and others Feb. 3-4. Judges and handlers flew in from all over the country to participate, and members of the local 4-H clubs acted as stewards, helping to clean and sanitize the cat cages.
The High Country Cat Club will host a summer show June 16-17 at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds.
