Four college men’s basketball programs in Colorado began the week in pursuit of an automatic NCAA Tournament berth with a conference championship run.
Only two remain.
The Colorado Buffaloes advanced in Pac-12 Tournament after shooting the lights out against Arizona State and Northern Colorado moved on in the Big Sky Tournament when its star broke a program record against Northern Arizona.
Up next for No. 3-seed CU: 1 p.m. Thursday vs. No. 1-seed Arizona (Pac-12 Network).
Up next for No. 5-seed UNC: 3:35 p.m. Thursday vs. No. 4-seed Weber State (www.bigskyconf.com).
Colorado State and Denver must now watch their respective tournaments from home. The Rams let an early lead slip against Utah State in first-round play and the Pioneers were blown out by South Dakota in the second round.
