According to Denver Police, a car going westbound on West 38th Avenue blew through a red light at the intersection, hitting a 37-year-old woman with her two kids — a 1-year-old girl and a 4-year-old boy.

A witness told Denver7 the mother immediately pulled the kids from under the vehicle that struck them. Screaming for help, she resuscitated the boy with the help of a passerby.

“Itap the first time I’ve ever heard the screams of a mother in terror,” said Chase Rivera, who lives near where the crash occurred. “From what I saw, they were able to get the kids moving again.”
