How interesting to read about the career of Jim Howard, who did fashion illustration for many years and was at the top of his field. I remember in my student days that fashion illustration seemed like a viable career, and I and many others took the classes given by Bernice Bergman in Denver, who also was an artist in that field. This occupation went along with the creative store window displays of that era. It was an art, even taught in the art classes in high schools. Times change and so do newspapers. I look forward to the Denver Art Museum’s exhibit.
