Shake Shack headlines several big-name Colorado restaurants and popular fast-food options that received a green light to open inside Denver International Airport under approved by the City Council.

The 10-year contracts, approved mostly in block votes Tuesday night, will enable operators to bring the popular East Coast burger chain that , to the B Concourse’s central second-floor mezzanine level, alongside Denver breakfast chain Snooze and Larimer Square restaurant Osteria Marco.

The same area will provide locations for Qdoba, Peet’s Coffee, Jamba Juice, Hacienda Colorado and other food and drink vendors.

Under another concession change, the Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery on Concourse C will be renovated and replaced by a new outpost for Denver-based Great Divide Brewery.

Patrick Heck, the airport’s chief commercial officer, previously told The Denver Post that DIA’s concession partners plan to open about half of the new dining options around the end of this year, with the rest opening in the middle of 2019.
