After trading down in the NFL Draft’s fifth round in order to acquire a seventh-round pick, the Broncos took Wisconsin tight end Troy Fumagalli with the 156th overall selection.

Drafting Fumagalli keeps with the theme of surrounding new starting quarterback Case Keenum with offensive playmakers. Fumagalli possesses a 6-foot-5, 245-pound frame totaled 46 catches for 547 yards and four touchdowns last season.

Denver’s draft selections thus far are North Carolina State defensive end Bradley Chubb with the fifth overall pick, Oregon running back Royce Freeman (71st overall) and Boston College cornerback Isaac Yiadom (99th overall) in the third round and Iowa linebacker Josey Jewell (106th overall) and Penn State wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton in the fourth round (113th overall).

Denver has a second fifth-round pick (160th overall) before its seventh-round selection (226th overall).
