Recent college graduates in Denver make an average of $53K a year

When adjusted for inflation, the average salaries of college graduates remained flat from 2017 to 2018

Recent college graduates in Denver make an average of $53,010 a year, according to a new study by Los Angeles-based executive search firm Korn Ferry that found salary growth overall was flat.

Denver’s pay tops cities like Atlanta ($49,584) and Dallas ($50,743) but falls to others like San Francisco ($63,995), New York ($60,972), Boston ($59,460) and Chicago ($55,177).

The firm analyzed salaries of 310,000 entry-level positions from close to 1,000 organizations in the U.S. Denver was among 10 major cities specifically highlighted.

On average, 2018 college graduates will make 2.8 percent more than 2017 graduates. But with the 2018 inflation rate just over 2 percent, real wages growth was flat between this year and last, according to a .

High paying jobs were software developers, who earn an average of $67,236; engineers, who earn an average of $64,066; and scientists or researchers, who earn an average of $60,177. On the low end, customer service representatives made $35,360 on average and claims examiners made $39,978 on average.
