In a market where homebuyers are clamoring for opportunities to buy homes around downtown Denver, you can get an up-close view Sunday, May 20, inside one of a very few condominium towers under construction now near downtown.

At Lakehouse, on West 17th Avenue across from Sloan’s Lake, the team from Nava Real Estate Development and Kentwood City Properties will take you on a first-ever hard-hat tour of the block-long terrace level, where next summer, residents will be wrapped in amenities designed around healthy living — not just a 70-foot lap pool and hot tub, but an organic urban farm operated by Agriburbia; an indoor-outdoor kitchen with a professional grill; a wellness center with fitness lab; and areas for yoga classes set against views across the lake.

Along with the tour, Lakehouse will give you a chance to win an Apple Watch Series 3, a Breville Juice Fountain Cold XL juicer, and a Manduka yoga mat, just for visiting Sunday.

Debbie and Steve Keisling of Lone Tree were at Sloan’s Lake last week, getting a test version of the same tour you’ll take today. They had already downsized into a Lone Tree patio-home enclave a few years ago but now find themselves wanting to experience more of a sense of community.

“We want something different; I love the (idea of the) garden,” said Debbie, who grew up in Denver and enjoyed trips to scenic Sloan’s Lake as a kid.

Tours run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

After you take off the hard hat, Kentwood’s Kevin Garrett, Matt McNeill and Dee Chirafisi will show you a building model and floor plans, starting with Residence 221, a one-bedroom currently priced at $499,000, with a covered parking space included in Lakehouse’s garage.

The balcony will have a side view north to the park and lake, and like other homes, it will provide KitchenAid stainless appliances and Italkraft European cabinetry.

At higher prices, the views get better and better, as you’ll sense during your preview of the terrace.  For $677,500 you could have Residence 512, a one-bedroom-plus-den on the fifth floor, angled to show a panorama over the lake to Longs Peak and the Front Range (it includes a powder room and a master suite with five-piece bath).

The very best views will be from penthouses — with panoramas of Pikes Peak, the mountains, downtown and north to the lake.

Garrett says some of the earliest sales have gone to those premium units, but some of the best views are still available, including from Residence 1109, a two-bedroom-plus-den unit, with over 2,000 square feet, offered at $1.775 million. Penthouses include premium Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances.

Garrett suggests acting soon, as prices are scheduled to go up on units June 1.

If you’re arriving before noon, you’ll see the Colfax Marathon passing by, on a side-loop around the scenic lake (watch for traffic blocks on Colfax).

Visitors to Lakehouse can enjoy fresh and organic eats Sunday from two food trucks on site, Sunshine Bowls and Farm-to-Truck. And you’ll see how Lakehouse orients to Highland and to the Sloans redevelopment project, each with a dining and entertainment scene.

For Sunday’s tour, take Sheridan north from Sixth Avenue to West 17th, then head east 10 blocks to the sales center at Raleigh Street, beside the new building. If coming from the Highland area, take Sheridan south to 17th and head east.
