Lakewood police have released videos and photographs of a maroon SUV in hopes of identifying two suspects in a fatal daylight shooting in a Lakewood neighborhood last week.

Ivan Ocampo-Plascencia, 26, was gunned down at 5 p.m. in the 100 block of South Jay Street.

Ocampo-Plascencia was walking along the street when the SUV pulled up next to him. An argument ensued. One of the suspects then shot and killed him, according to a news release.

Police say that neither the victim nor suspects have any association with anybody living on that block.

At the time of the shooting the suspects were in a late-1990s to early-2000s Suzuki Grand Vitara. The two-toned vehicle is maroon over gray.

“The vehicle has distinctive damage to the front grill and bumper, missing trim on the front, right wheel and is missing a spare tire from the back,” police say.
