The Colorado Buffaloes football team was selected to finish fifth in the Pac-12’s South Division, according to the results of a poll of 42 media members released by conference Wednesday.
CU, which finished 5-7 (2-7 in conference play) last season, earned a total of 80 points in the vote, beating Arizona State for the No. 5 spot. The Buffs also received one first-place vote to win the division.
USC earned 22 first-place votes and a total of 225 points to win the South Division. Washington received 40 first-place votes to win the North Division. The Huskies were also the favorites to win the Pac-12 title, garnering 37 votes.
