Investigators with the Grand Junction Police Department continue to look into the death of a woman whose body was found Saturday near the Colorado River.
The death is considered suspicious, the department said in a news release. A passerby found the body of the adult woman near the water of the Colorado River near Watson Island and reported it to authorities.
The Mesa County Coroner’s Office continued to investigate the woman’s identification and her cause of death. No further details were expected to be released over Labor Day weekend, according to the release.
