Denver police are looking for a car that they say struck a pedestrian early Saturday morning near Civic Center Park.

The car struck a pedestrian about 2:30 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of 12th Avenue and Sherman Street, two blocks south of the state capitol, a police spokesman said. The pedestrian was seriously injured.

Police continued to search Sunday morning for the Kia sedan they believe was involved in the crash. The car is black with license plate number DKS644. Anybody with information is asked to call Denver Police at 720-913-7867.
